Main Objective:    
Brief Description: BCAS collected documents on Dhaka city management and provision of urban services and assisted the City Corporation to prepare an outline for a participatory action plan for management reforms and enhancing efficiency in delivering urban services. Focus group meetings were also held to finalize the action plan. BCAS also prepared short studies and newspaper articles on urban management issues to raise citizen awareness and create broad based support for the action plan in particular and management reform process in general. BCAS organized and facilitated participatory workshops.
Output To promote commitment among key decision makers and city corporation employees for undertaking a process of management reforms aimed at establishing a professional, customer (citizen) oriented and effective city government in Dhaka. Also to conduct a series of participatory workshops in different parts of Dhaka city to identify problems of city services with special reference to solid waste management. Finally to study institutional and financial aspects of Dhaka City Corporation.
